Welcome to Balloo Stud

Balloo stud is situated at Killinchy, 12 miles from Belfast and 8 miles from Newtownards, in County Down, Northern Ireland.

We accept mares for foaling, for pre-breeding preparation and treatment, convalescence and boarding - whether short or long term - at competitive rates.

Foaling is CCTV monitored. Non-thoroughbred mares with satisfactory vaccination history are also accepted for (chilled) artificial insemination, foaling and boarding.

Transport can be arranged to and from local studs.

All animals on our stud are under veterinary supervision.

By DOUBLE BED (FR) - Group 1 sire of numerous Group 1 winners, including JIM AND TONIC (FR), RAJPOUTE (FR) and INKATHA (FR), JIMBLE is already the sire of a two year old winner, JIM DE LEUR (FR), and placed performers from his first crop in 2003.
